Katie Price’s boyfriend JJ Slater is reportedly ‘terrified’ of the reality star losing more weight after a concerning hospital visit.
The mum-of-five, 47, checked into hospital last week over unexplained weight loss, as she told her Snapchat followers, where the doctors took two tubes of blood with plans to take more.
‘The reason I’m going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight, and I don’t know why. So that’s that,’ the former glamour model revealed as she continues her UK tour with close friend Kerry Katona.
Now, her partner of over a year, former Married at First Sight star JJ, is said to be increasingly concerned for Katie’s health, as she also comes off the back of another hospital trip, late event appearances and a last-minute Pride performance cancellation.
An insider said: ‘JJ and Katie’s family think she is putting way too much pressure on herself. She’s been constantly on the move with tour shows, but isn’t right mentally or physically – something she knows deep down.
They added the Mirror: ‘JJ is terrified of her losing any more weight. It’s not an easy thing to sit back and watch your partner running themselves into the ground health-wise.’
In the most recent incident, Kerry was forced to keep a displeased audience entertained at An Evening With Katie Price & Kerry Katona after she arrived over two hours late, and then spent only 35 minutes on stage.
At the time, a source said her behaviour has ‘those close to her are worried that she might be getting out of control.’
Her friends worry that she is ‘burning herself out’ and that ‘being this unreliable has consequences’.
Earlier in September, the reality star was forced to go to A&E after stabbing herself in the hand while making a curry.
‘You can see on the injury how deep it was, and I had to have stitches,’ she said alongside grisly images of herself that she shared on Snapchat.
Meanwhile, her relationship with her daughter, Princess Andre, has been under the spotlight after the 18-year-old launched her own ITV reality series, The Princess Diaries.
In her a recent podcast episode, she shared her candid thoughts on her children’s, Princess and Junior’s NTA looks, saying she should ‘sack’ her stylist.
‘I felt sorry for Junior. I said to Princess, “What was he f***ing wearing?” It looked like fancy dress.
‘I said, “Princess, I didn’t like your dress either, it was too old for you, look at Maura Higgins, she looked amazing!’
