<p id=”par-4_41″>This year’s Met Gala theme is “Costume Art” with “Fashion is Art” as the dress code. Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour serve as co-chairs for the event, and Bezos and Sánchez are the primary sponsors and honorary co-chairs. </p>

One poster near the Metropolitan Museum of Art read “The Bezos Met Gala: Brought to you by worker exploitation.” This references allegations of worker mistreatment by Amazon, Bezos’ company.</p>
<p id=”par-7_40″>Another poster said the event was “brought to you by the firm that powers ICE.” Amazon announced it would cooperate with ICE on their deportation efforts. They have also sold facial recognition technology to the agency to help their efforts. </p>
<p id=”par-8_30″>While many fans still look forward to seeing their favorite celebrities on the museum’s steps, a growing number of people said they will be disappointed in those who do attend.</p>

She is friendly with Bezos and Sánchez, and she went to space with the latter on the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/katy-perry-addresses-unhinged-online-hate-following-widely-mocked-blue-origin-flight.html/”>widely-mocked Blue Origin flight</a>. While Perry was unable to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jeff-bezos-lauren-sanchez-wedding-guest-list.html/”>attend the couple’s wedding</a> due to her tour, she attended Sánchez’s bachelorette party in Paris.</p>
<p id=”par-10_20″>“The atmosphere was very relaxed and very Parisian,” a source told <a href=”https://people.com/lauren-sanchez-celebrates-bachelorette-party-ahead-of-wedding-to-jeff-bezos-11712999″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. “It was a pre-wedding all-girl party for 13.”</p>
