The “Scandal” actress wore her hair in a super close-cropped style which was tight on the sides and had more body at the top. It’s unclear whether she actually cut her hair this short, but it is rare for her to rock a pixie, and she killed it on the carpet with this fresh and fun look.
Kerry Washington Rocked Thom Brown to the 2025 LACMA Gala
In the caption of an Instagram Carousel featuring photos from the event, which raises money for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the starlet revealed she was wearing a Thom Brown gown. The whimsically asymmetrical dress consisted of pink and green satin at the top, with a pleated black skirt made from alternating strips of black and plaid.
The 48-year-old, who is married to former Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, accessorized her look with dangly gold earrings and a matching cuff. She added a chunky ring on her pointer finger, and her normal small and dainty wedding ring could be seen as well. Back in 2014, the “She Hate Me” star divulged to ABC that she once forgot to remove the ring while filming “Scandal” scenes, sending fans on a scavenger hunt to find the offending episode.
Although she has a habit of sporting some major bling on the red carpet, Washington revealed that in her everyday life, she’s “never been a big jewelry person.” She added that her wedding ring is the first piece of jewelry she’s worn consistently, and that she usually pinned it to herself while filming.

Takisha Sturdivant-Drew, better known as @takishahair, has been working magic on Kerry Washington’s locks for over two decades, the Bronx native revealed in a post celebrating her friend’s recent win at the Instyle Imagemaker Awards on October 23, 2025.
The television beauty thanked Takisha for the long hours spent “making me and so many others look and feel beautiful.” She went on to the stylist “my sister, my friend, my inspiration” before finishing with, “I love you, Kiki!”
Washington’s costar Bellamy Young, who portrayed Mellie Grant, hit the comments to also congratulate Takisha. She wrote, “Congrats, Kitten! So well-deserved! Sending you loooooooove, Takisha!!”
While the pair were being interviewed at the awards, Washington recalled, “We were babies when we first started working together,” before talking about what Takisha means to her. It goes beyond a casual or professional relationship into something much deeper and richer and more profound, to be honest.” Takisha added, “We’re sisters. We’re family.”
