Kevin Hart Reminisces About Late Friend Nate Smith
Kevin took to social media just one day after the loss of his beloved friend to share one of his favorite memories of their time together.
“Still sitting here thinking about my guyâ¦. This was one of the funniest days ever with Nate,” Kevin captioned a clip from his 2011 comedy special, “Kevin Hart: Laugh at My Pain,” which he shared via Instagram on Tuesday, November 18. “We made him act in a skit for my comedy special and he was fucking great ððððð You will be missed manâ¦. Love you for lifeâ¦. Give my mom & Dad a hug for meâ¦. Rest well!!!!! RIP NATE”
The “Jumanji” star first announced the news of Nate’s passing via Instagram just one day prior.
“I lost a dear friend today,” Hart began in his heartbreaking post. “Nate you are a legend in this game of comedyâ¦. I am honored to have been able to call you my road manager.”
He continued, “You taught me so much about this business⦠ur loyalty and dedication was unmatchedâ¦. U had a heart of gold manâ¦. His 2011 special was not the first time Kevin included Nate, however. The “Fatherhood” star joked about his friend’s quirks in his 2010 comedy special, “Seriously Funny.”
“My road manager and I are very close.” Hart began. “Heâs older. We fight a lot, though. Itâs kinda like a relationship. Heâs been around me for years. He was with me before money even came into the picture. Heâs the one scrambling up for me. But when youâre around somebody for so long, naturally you start to butt heads. Little [expletive] annoys you.”
