Kim Woodburn has shared some of her thoughts about this year’s selection of stars on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here – and the one contestant she thinks is ‘scummy’.

Kim, 82, first found fame in her 60s when she presented the Channel 4 series How Clean Is Your House?

She went on to appear in I’m A Celebrity in 2009 and a variety of other reality shows, including Big Brother, in which she became known for her brutal honesty.

Speaking to Metro on behalf of WhichBingo, the star gave her insight into this year’s celebrities- and didn’t hold back when it came to calling out some of the bad behaviour she’s seen on screen.

The TV personality then revealed she wasn’t a fan of Loose Women panellist Jane Moore, particularly following her run-in with Barry McGuigan and McFly’s Danny when she called them sexist for putting women on dishwashing duties.

‘I’m not wickedly keen on Jane the journalist, Jane Moore, I think what she’s had to say – not much – but what she has said is extremely offensive.’

‘I think she took it very foolishly to say it’s sex discrimination. I don’t think there’s anything to do with that. When you think up to that time, Jane hadn’t done any trials, she’d done no trials, but “sexist, sexist”, that’s cheap and below the belt.’

‘Then she said, “Well, I don’t, I don’t do work”. Ah, we’ve now hit it on the head, she doesn’t like any housework at all. Then don’t go into the jungle and take a fat cheque!’ I don’t admire that.’

She added that in comparison to some of the other campmates, Jane had done ‘darn all’ especially as ‘Coleen is doing the dishes and never said a word’.

‘I think her behaviour, she’s 64-ish, is disgraceful. The one thing she’s asked to do, “sexist, sexist”. Typical cheap shot, won’t wash. Don’t like that about her. Don’t like that attitude.’

She added that the boxer was completely ‘inoffensive’ and wouldn’t ‘hurt a fly.’

The former Big Brother star then added that had she been in this season, she’d have set her straight.

‘I wish I was in there I’d give her a right what for, “sexist?” My backside!’ she said.

But Jane isn’t the only campmate Kim isn’t keen on: ‘Well, Dean [McCullough]. I could strangle him.

‘I could strangle that young man with my bare hands. I could easily Look, we all have tolerances to horrible things. Of course, we do. But he’s a cowardly custard. He is. He’s the worst person I’ve ever seen.

‘But the one thing I dislike about him, he’s so self-centred. Don’t like that.’

She then added that in last night’s episode, he earned a nickname because of his ability to disappear when there is work to be done.

‘He doesn’t care – forget the trials – he doesn’t care what his campmates go through as long as he can skive off now. For instance, they’ve now started calling him Houdini last night because he disappears all the time. He doesn’t want to do any chores.’

She then highlighted the conversation Dean had with the ‘lovely chap’ Danny Jones about campbeds when Dean asked if he could have the bed away from the rats. Danny asked why he should have to sleep near the rats again considering he’d done that for the last week,

‘That is self-centred, that’s worse than his cowardice.’

‘He disappears when he’s got to do chores. He doesn’t care how his mates go on at all. Can we bear this in mind? My love, he’s getting a great big fat cheque at the end of it, and he knew darn well he wouldn’t do the trials.

‘I can understand. We all get frightened of things. You can’t condemn him for that, is he a man or a mouse? Wake up, just chicken-livered isn’t he?

She then added that she didn’t believe he was kind to his campmates. ‘He treats those people like dirt, and he only cares for himself. Forget the cowardice. He’s not nice.’

Kim added that she was less than impressed with Dean when it came to his bushtucker trials. But added that his campmates spoiled him by treating him so nicely after failing to get many stars.

‘Do you know? What annoys me? They all are to blame for this because when he first went in there for the first week, they ruined him.

‘When he did the fourth trial and came up with virtually nothing, what did they do? They ran a bubble bath.’ She added: ‘Why do they allow this man to get away with all this?’

She then added that in I’m A Celebrity unpacked, host Joel Dommett suggested that Dean’s behaviour could be explained by his age.

‘Joel Dommett said – and I thought, Joel, are you short of a brain tonight? -he said, “Well, he is the youngest in there isn’t he?” He’s 32! What is Joel talking about? What is he taught? He’s a man. That’s what he said. Made excuses so I thought, “Get off, 32!”

‘Oh, don’t be stupid. Joel, what a stupid thing to say. Beyond attempt.’

Speaking about Dean’s tense interaction in camp with Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, Kim defended Alan – adding that she heard from some of the other actors in the soap that he’s a lovely man.

‘I have never met Alan, but I get but I know people that work with him on Coronation Street. I know a couple of the actors casually, and they said he is the loveliest man to work with.

‘And looking at him in the jungle, I can imagine that, no ego, nothing. I think that Dean would bring out the worst in Lord Jesus. I think Dean is an annoying, horrible, self-centred little twerp and should be thrown out.’

Reverend Richard Coles earned Kim’s vote (Picture: James Gourley/ITV/Shutterstock)

When asked who she’s rooting for to win the show. Kim said it has got to be Coleen Rooney or the Reverend Richard Coles crowned the King or Queen of the jungle.

‘Oh, he’s lovely, do you know, if you’re in the jungle and you had him to talk to, it would not lighten your load, wouldn’t it?

‘He sits there in a composed state, and he’s a genuinely – I’ve heard, I’ve never met him – but I heard he was lovely, and seeing him in the jungle, I could believe that.’

Coleen also earned Kim’s praise (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)

Speaking about Coleen in the jungle, Kim said she was ‘pleasantly surprised’ by the WAG.

‘She’s come up trumps. She’s so down to earth. And she’s got so much money she couldn’t spend it in 10 lifetimes,’ she said.

‘She mucks in, she washes dishes. And they said of her, when you get the dishes back they’re cleaner than before you started using them.

‘I think she’s one of the possibilities that could win. But to see a lady so terribly wealthy, goes to all the top spots and to the White House but you can see she’s not boasting. It’s lovely. Thank you, Coleen. You’re a lovely lady. I’m pleasantly surprised. You could be a winner.’

I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
