<p id=”par-1_67″>King Charles III gave a few speeches during his state visit to the U.S. The British monarch delivered a historic address to Congress. He also spoke at a state dinner in his honor hosted by President <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/donald-trump/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Donald Trump</a> and First Lady<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/most-people-didnt-know-connection-between-melania-trump-king-charles.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”> Melania Trump</a>. The king then gave another speech during a stop in New York in which he made a remark that had many thinking about his cancer battle.</p>
<p id=”par-2_52″>Several A-list celebrities and other high-profile people gathered in Manhattan on April 29 for a charity event in partnership with The King’s Trust. Martha Stewart, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/many-kids-does-anna-wintour-net-worth.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Anna Wintour</a>, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren, Iman, and Donatella Versace were some of the attendees, as was <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/lionel-richie-was-terrorized-at-michael-jacksons-home-by-his-animals-while-writing-we-are-the-world.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Lionel Richie</a> who is the King’s Trust Global Ambassador. </p>

<p id=”par-5_32″>Although the 77-year-old tried to keep things lighthearted, many were reminded then of his cancer battle, which the Palace announced in 2024 after he had a medical procedure for an enlarged prostate. </p>
<p id=”par-6_31″>That statement read in part: “During the king’s hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_35″>King Charles began undergoing treatment then. It’s believed that his treatment schedule has now been significantly reduced due to positive progress. The monarch has not disclosed what kind of cancer he was diagnosed with. </p>
