Kristen Bell is no stranger to recognition for her work. The actress has received nominations for “Veronica Mars,” “The Good Place,” “Frozen,” and other roles, but never an Emmy nomination. Not until now, at least.
Bell took to her Instagram to share screenshots of herself and showrunner Erin Foster screaming in excitement on a Zoom call after both were nominated for “Nobody Wants This.”
“Finding out I was nominated for an Emmy – finding out Erin Foster was nominated for an Emmy!!!!” she captioned the photo. But, while her picture captured their excitement, her husband posted a very different side of the Disney star.

To celebrate his wife’s first Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy Award for “Nobody Wants This,” Dax Shepard posted an Instagram photo of Bell on their backyard patio practicing yoga. The actress is entirely naked, except for calf-high blue socks.
“People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen’s,” the caption reads. “This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”
The comments were a mix of horror and awe. “Oh my God, Dax,” wrote Gwyneth Paltrow. “Hahaha yesssss go girl!” commented Nina Dobrev. “Suns out buns out for that Emmy!!!” Mae Whitman wrote, “Incredible form.”
For those wondering how Bell felt about Shepard’s post, the fact that she reposted it in an Instagram story is a pretty good indication that she loved it.
Dax Shepard Previously Posted the Photo for Mother’s Day
Shepard seems to be partial to this particular photo of Bell, as he posted it on Mother’s Day in 2021, as well.
“Mom’ing has changed since I was a kid…and I’m here for it,” he captioned the photo. “Look at this specimen: kind, patient, nurturing, hilarious. Uber talented, generous, hard AND soft. My girls and I hit the MegaMom Lottery in spectacular fashion. We are so grateful and so in love with you Kristen Bell.”
Shepard has previously said on his “Armchair Expert” podcast that he and Bell try not to make a big deal of nudity in their house. âMy policy is that [the kids will] decide that because in Europe, they donât give a [expletive]⦠Iâm aiming for that.â
He did admit that the nudity in Bell’s comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” made him reconsider watching it with their 9-year-old daughter. âThis could be fun!â Shepard recalled. âThis is Mom in a balls to the wall comedy… It kinda starts, and then all of a sudden, Jason [Segelâs] [expletive] is out and the towelâs off.â
