If there’s something that Jenna Ortega and Mia Goth not to mention Demi Moore and, now, Kristen Wiig have in common, it’s that they’ve all shown up to industry events in a sheer dress. Kristen did so on November 1 when she attended the 2025 LACMA Art+Film Gala, Presented By Gucci at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Opting for a strapless, full-length black lace dress, Kristen slipped a pair of solid black panties underneath. Wearing her hair down in loose waves and not too much makeup, she also chose to pop on a few rings and a bracelet.
Posing for the cameras, she showed off both style and charm.
Kristen Likes to ‘Mix It Up’ When it Comes to Fashion
When you think about Kristen, fashion might not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, she happens to be well aware of her tastes â even if they are a little eclectic.
In July, Harper’s Bazaar UK asked the star, “Who is on your mood board in terms of fashion?”
“My mood board is all over the map â I like to mix it up depending on the mood Iâm in or where I am,” she answered.” I have photos of Winona Ryder and Erin Wassen from the ’90s, Chloe Sevigny, Sienna Miller, Zendaya and Kaia Gerber. Iâm all over the place.”
She was also asked, “How would you describe your personal style?”
“I donât know how to define it, I just know what feels good on me,” she said. “Iâve worn things in the past that didnât feel like me and I donât do that anymore. Everyoneâs got their own perspective and fashion is such a fun way to express it.”
Beyond that, Harper’s Bazaar wanted to know: “How has your style evolved over the years?”
“I feel like now Iâve learned that I donât need to keep up with whatever the current ‘trend’ is and just wear what feels like me,” she explained. “Sometimes I think we all look in the mirror and say, ‘Who am I?!’ and itâs kind of fun to keep figuring that out and change it up.”
Does Kristen Think Fashion is Frivolous?
“Fashion has an unfair reputation for being frivolous, why does what we wear matter?” Harper’s Bazaar also asked Kristen.
“I donât like it when people say that,” she admitted. “Fashion designers are artists and I think when people create their own fashion style, down to what they wear every day, theyâre artists too!”
“Itâs an expression. Like a painting or a movie,” she continued. “Itâs one way we can walk around and show people who we are. How we feel in our clothes is important and we always have to be ourselves and sometimes redefine who we are. I donât think thatâs frivolous.”
