Bruce Dern, who was married to Ladd in the 1960s and is Laura’s father, shared his own tribute, praising her talent and influence.

“Diane was a tremendous actress, and I feel like a bit of a ‘hidden treasure’ until she ran into David Lynch,” he wrote as per US Weekly.

He recalled her breakout in “Wild at Heart” and honored her decades of service on the SAG board. “She was funny, clever, and gracious. But most importantly to me, she was a wonderful mother to our incredible wunderkind daughter.”
