After splitting 15 years ago, The Pussycat Dolls are reportedly in discussions about reuniting.
Kimberly Wyatt, one of the original members, has reportedly told friends that the group has ‘ironed out their issues,’ suggesting that past disagreements could finally be behind them.
The talks are said to include plans for a potential tour, sparking excitement among fans who have long hoped for more than a one-off performance.
A source told The Sun: ‘Kimberly has been open about the fact the girls have sorted out their issues.
‘She also told pals they’ve been discussing a tour. The Pussycat Dolls certainly had their differences over the years, but a comeback would send fans wild.’
The group was first formed in 2003, evolving from a burlesque troupe, and featured big names such as Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton.
Over the years, the lineup changed with Kaya Jones leaving in 2004 and Carmit Bachar in 2008, before the group eventually disbanded in 2010.
Fans were already hopeful after the Dolls announced a reunion tour in 2020, but the plans were cancelled due to the pandemic, leaving their comeback on hold.
The members are reportedly discussing tour plans, aiming to bring back the high-energy performances of their hits including Don’t Cha and Buttons, as well as choreography that made them iconic.
Kimberly’s admission that old disputes are ‘water under the bridge’ is seen as a major breakthrough, given the tensions that contributed to the group’s split.
In an interview with Lorraine back in 2019, ex-band mate Melody said: ‘They said we’re going to have Nicole do all of the recording, you’re going to have to learn and dance with the rest of these girls,’
“For me, it really affected my confidence because I wasn’t using my best asset, and people were getting to know me for something that I didn’t do. And I was the weakest dancer, so it was challenging.’
During the split in 2010, Nicole said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest when asked what was happening in the group: ‘A couple of the girls have left the group, because they want to do their own projects and stuff,’
‘It’s up to them what they want to do, and I just think, whatever makes them happy, we’ve been at it for a strong six years.’
Nicole Scherzinger’s involvement is also crucial, as she has often been seen as the face and lead voice of the group, though she has continued to focus on solo work in recent years.
Melody Thornton’s participation remains unclear, as she previously opted out of past reunion attempts and may choose to step away again.
Back in 2019, Nicole performed with the Dolls on The X Factor: Celebrity, reigniting hopes that new music or a tour could be possible.
