Oasis star Liam Gallagher is set to become a grandfather at the age of 52.
His daughter, Molly Moorish, has announced she’s expecting her first baby with her footballer boyfriend, Nathaniel Phillips.
The 27-year-old shared her happy news via social media, debuting her growing bump with a sweet snap of her and her partner cosied up, her hand placed protectively over her belly.
Already prepared for their little arrival, she also posted photos of baby clothes and a mug with ‘Mum’ printed on it.
Her caption read: ‘bulking season’, followed by a pregnant woman emoji.
She was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages, with MP Zarah Sultana commenting: ‘Congrats Molly! ❤️’
Brother Gene also left a series of red hearts, while dad-to-be Nathaniel said: ‘Can’t wait, love you both loads ❤️’
Her mother, Lisa Moorish, added: ‘Waaaaaaah! Can’t wait to be 👵🏽 👶🏻’
Molly confirmed that she was dating Nathaniel, who plays for Derby FC on loan from Liverpool, in 2022.
The model is one of four children belonging to Manchester City fan Liam.
He also has son Lennon, 25, from his marriage to Patsy Kensit; Gene, 23, from his marriage to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton; and daughter Gemma, 12, born from his affair with New York journalist Liza Ghorbani.
The Wonderwall hitmaker, who will shortly be heading out on a reunion tour with brother Noel, is yet to comment publicly on his daughter’s pregnancy.
He has previously spoken about his relationship with Molly, who was born after he had an affair while married to Emmerdale actress Patsy.
Liam met Molly for the first time in 2018 after being estranged for two decades and said it was a ‘shame it didn’t happen earlier’.
The year before, the rocker confessed to The Mirror: ‘I’ve just never got around to meeting her. I’ve heard she’s alright, though. She’s doing alright.
‘I never heard anything that she wanted to meet me.’
Once they finally connected, he vowed to get stuck in with ‘some super love going forward.’
The pair first met at the Red Lion and Sun pub, with an insider revealing at the time: ‘Liam wanted to know all about Mollie’s life—and she had a lot of questions for him.’
The added: ‘After a few hours, it got very emotional. Liam shed some tears, and so did Mollie. It was heartbreaking in many ways, but it’s brought them together.’
Just weeks after their emotional reunion, they attended a Rolling Stones gig together in the capital, seemingly eager to make up for lost time.
Liam then penned a song about Molly, titled Now That I Found You, for his album.
Reflecting on getting to know her dad in her teenage years, Molly herself told The Sunday Times Magazine in 2019: ‘I don’t have any anger.
‘I’m actually thankful for how I was brought up with my mum and how my life’s been.
‘I wouldn’t be who I am now if… it’s all happened the way it was meant to happen. We just got on and I’m happy to have him now.’
