Lionel Richie has been hospitalised after feeling dizzy following his concert in St. Louis, months after postponing tour dates.
The music legend, 77, was checked into a local hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) after he performed at the Muny in Forest Park on Saturday night.
He had been struggling to finish his Missouri show, asking the crew to bring out a chair for him so he could sit down for All Night Long.
TMZ reported he is being ‘cautious’ and doctors are looking into ‘possible slight dehydration’, but their sources claimed he is set to be discharged soon.
Lionel’s hospitalisation comes two months after he was forced to pause the first show of his tour in Minnesota after feeling ‘strange’.
The Hello singer also postponed two shows after falling ill and ‘swaying uncontrollably’ at a previous concert.

A video on social media from his performance on Wednesday shows Richie telling the crowd: ‘Now, what I have learned about my years of being in the business, when you are feeling dizzy, sit your a** down.
‘And when you are feeling strange about yourself, sit your a** down,’ he continued.
He also told the Minnesota Star Tribune that he’s never performed the song ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ while sitting.
The show was stopped approximately one hour into the performance. Saxophonist Dino Soldo later returned to the stage to announce that Richie was not feeling well and would not be able to continue.
He has since performed at a string of shows on his All Night Long tour.
After his previous illness, when Lionel returned to the stage, he reassured fans he was doing well and thanked everyone for their well wishes
On Instagram, he wrote: ‘Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.
‘Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together.
‘See you in Toronto… let’s party all night long!’
Lionel was set to perform at a UK concert series in August at the historic Audley End estate and continue throughout summer at Englefield Estate and the Sandringham Estate.
However, despite the star-studded line-up – which included Lionel, Christina Aguilera, and Janet Jackson – organisers had ‘no choice’ but to pull the plug.
In a statement, they confirmed the ‘heartbreaking news’ of the festival’s cancellation following ‘far lower than average’ interest and poor ticket sales.
This would have marked HeritageLive’s 10th year, having previously seen The Who, Sir Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, and last year’s headliner Mariah Carey perform.
