<p id=”par-6_50″>Hickling watched the key interactions between the royals and Germany’s president and first lady. She offered a rare glimpse into the light-hearted and relaxed conversations exchanged at the airport arrival and highlighted not just their friendly small talk but also candid references about the prince and princess’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/prince-william-kates-home-nightmare-includes-angry-neighbors-uncle-andrew-headache-christmas-tree-fiasco.html/”>recent house move</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-7_24″>The lip reader noted that after shaking hands and exchanging initial pleasantries, Prince William tells the couple, “I am taken aback with your greetings.”</p>

<p id=”par-14_21″>The lip-reading pro saw Camilla say to the first lady, “Good afternoon,” before Büdenbender replied, <strong>“</strong>Your<strong> </strong>Majesty, it’s good to see you.”</p>
<p id=”par-15_36″>Hickling watched King Charles then comment that “It’s constantly been wet. It’s been howling wind and rain,” before the president chimed in with, “Especially now it’s dark and you don’t want to get up in the morning.”</p>
<p id=”par-16_44″>This state visit marks the first by a German president to the United Kingdom in 27 years. King Charles and Queen Camilla did previously visit Germany for the king’s first overseas state visit as monarch, where they were hosted by President Steinmeier at Bellevue Palace. </p>
