Since the start of the year, an account on X, formerly Twitter, was set up purely to document how often Lorraine, 64, presents her self-titled show.
The Lorraine K Watch summarised today that she’d presented 16 out of 19 in 2024, with Christine Lampard presenting the other three.
The presenter has now spoken out about her reason for not always being present.
‘Morning and huge thanks to the wonderful @clbleakley for stepping in on Fridays so I can get back home,’ she began.
Lorraine is filmed in London in the same studio room as Loose Women, with the space transforming daily – this piece of information has recently baffled viewers.
After she’s done her Thursday shift Glasgow-born Lorraine travels ‘home’ to spend time with her mum Anne who resides in East Kilbride in Scotland, while Lorraine herself lives in a riverside property in Buckinghamshire with her husband Steve.

‘Great to see mum doing really well and I appreciate your kind messages,’ she continued.
Lorraine has previously spoken about Anne’s health battles and has thanked NHS staff at a Scottish hospital for their care.
Anne, 81, was hospitalised in 2022 after being diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome – a condition that stops the kidneys from functioning properly.

‘It was a worrying time for the whole family,’ she told Hello!
Speaking about getting care for both her parents, Lorraine said: ‘My dad also has health issues, including a heart condition, and with them living in Scotland, my brother Graham in Singapore and me in London, we realised they were going to need a bit of help.
‘So, when my mum came back home, I brought it up and I said: “Obviously, it’s for you, but it’s also for me and Graham. It’ll make us feel better”.’
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9am
