The 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on Thursday, November 27. The 2025 Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will walk two and a half miles through New York City, will feature big stars, beloved hosts, and impressive floats! This is everything you need to know. 


Who Will Host The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025?

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025 will start on West 77th Street and Central Park West at 8:30 a.m. ET. The parade will include 34 balloons and 28 floats, NBC reports. The walk-through will take around three and a half hours and is expected to end around noon ET at Macy’s Herald Square store on 34th Street. 

This year, beloved “TODAY” show hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker will be hosting! Ahead of the Thanksgiving parade, Guthrie, Kotb, and Roker teased their preparations in an Instagram post on the official NBC account. “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade read-thru with your hosts! Only one week to go until #MacysParade Nov 27 | NBC and @Peacock,” the caption read.

Fans expressed their excitement to see the fabulous three hosting. “Makes me so happy seeing @hodakotb still very much involved!!!!!!!!!” a comment reads. “Can’t wait!!! Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at home in pjs is one of my favorite holiday traditions. Grateful for this team,” another commenter shared. 

The parade will also be broadcast in Spanish on Telemundo, hosted by Andrea Meza, Aleyda Ortiz, and Clovis Nienow.


All About The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025

For those not watching the parade at stops in the city, it can also be watched from the comfort of your own home. The march will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock from 8:30 a.m. ET.

In addition to the floats and balloons, audiences will be entertained by the performers, including “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo, who will open the broadcast. Country music star Lainey Wilson will perform in Macy’s Herald Square, and the individuals behind the singing voices of HUNTR/X from the Netflix film “KPop Demon Hunters” will be performing their hit songs. Other performers include Ciara, Colbie Caillat, “Hamilton” star Christopher Jackson, and more. 

This year, there will also be six new floats in the march. These are “The Land of Ice & Wonder by Holland America Line, Brick-tastic Winter Mountain by the Lego Group, Master Chocolatier Ballroom by Lindt, Upside Down Invasion: Stranger Things by Netflix, Friends-giving in POP CITY by Pop Mart, and the Counting Sheep’s Dream Generator by Serta,” NBC reports.
