FOX Sports confirmed the incident in a statement shared with FOX59/CBS4, expressing gratitude for the care Sanchez received.
âMark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition,â the network said.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has not yet provided further details about the suspects or motive. Authorities have opened an active investigation into the stabbing. According to reports, Sanchez had been in Indianapolis to call Sundayâs FOX Sports broadcast of the Colts vs. Raiders game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
