“Married at First Sight” star Emma Barnes was rushed to the hospital following a terrifying bike accident.
The reality television star shared a series of photos on Instagram, showing her injuries while also revealing that she suffered two leg fractures as well as an MCL tear. Barnes will have to wear a leg brace for eight weeks.
According to The Daily Mail, one of the photos showed Barnes in the ambulance, while another was of her leg in a brace.
“I came off okay from my accident with just a leg with 2 fractures, MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) tear and a brace for 8 weeks,” she wrote. “But yeah wear your helmets kiddos, I would not have ANYONE take the mick of me turning up to the pub in with my scooter/Lime bike and taking my helmet round all night because duh, saved my life. V (very) passionate about this cause.”

Barnes appeared on the show, where she met her husband Caspar Todd, but their marriage was short-lived as they left the experiment in October 2024. The two both agreed in the end that they weren’t the right match for each other.
‘We feel sad because we came here for love. Emma is fantastic in a lot of ways,” Todd said on the show. “But I need someone who is emotionally vulnerable as I am, someone to need me more than Emma would ever need me. She’s a very strong, independent women.”

Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling, who is also known as Mel Schilling from âMarried at First Sight,â passed away in March after her battle with cancer and many from the series shared sweet tributes.
That includes Barnes.

Mel lit up every room she walked into, with her dazzling smile, glam from @roxyhabibi , towering heels, and time and kindness for absolutely everyone in there,” she began. “Iâll always remember the day Mel strut into our apartment head to toe in pink. I was so nervous she wasnât going to like my cuppa ð¤£. We came to understand this woman was never without a dash of pink or glitter!!”
“nd she brought that sparkle everywhere. Even little me in the couple of years Iâve known her, Mel helped me out more than people know. Checking in, making time, championing me professionally,” Barnes continued. “She always laughed for being a bit Starstruck and blushing after 2 years of knowing her ð¤£. No shame Iâve always said – sheâs one of mine and so many otherâs idols. Graceful, super hard working, loyal, and a total boss woman in pink ð©·”
“Mel battled through this cruel disease with her head as high as her heels. Taken too soon, but she was truly the one in a million ð©·,” she concluded.
