Martin Scorseseâs daughter, Francesca Scorsese, has reflected on the importance of never taking time with your loved ones for granted. She shared a heartbreaking video on TikTok on September 2 that spotlighted her relationship with her mother, Helen Morris. Morris was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in her 30s, People reports.

In the video, Francesca shows footage of herself with her beloved mom. The video shows Francesca helping her mom to sip water from a bottle, and she tenderly rubs her arm and tucks her hair behind her ear. She also feeds her mom cake because she is unable to do it herself. You can see the love that Francesca feels toward her mom.
The text overlay on the video reads, âReminder to tell your parents you love them because one day you will have to take care of them the way they once took care of you.â
âNever take health for granted,â Francesca wrote in the caption, along with a white heart emoji and several hashtags including #parkinsonsawareness, #momsoftiktok, and #warrior.
The comment section of the video has been filled with messages of support and encouragement. âI hope you and your momma are surrounded by love! I know what itâs like taking care of the woman that raised you,â a comment reads. âItâs a special kind of hard, especially at such a young age to go through, and explain to others. However even in the challenges, you always have the love.â

Martin Scorsese Comments on His Wifeâs Health
In the past, Morris has occasionally attended red carpet events with her husband of almost three decades and their daughter. The couple met in 1997 and married in 1999. Martin discussed his wife in an interview on the SiriusXM podcast, âThis Life of Mine with James Corden,â in February 2024, People reports. He referred to her as âthe most remarkable person.â
He also gave an insight into her health problems. âShe’s had Parkinson’s disease for about 30 years now,â the director said. âMy complaining is part of my creating, and it’s usually self-deprecating. Make it funny. Doesn’t mean it ain’t serious, but it is funny at the same time. My complaining, I find, is nothing compared to what the suffering that a condition like that does, and so we live with it and it changes how you perceive life and everything around you.â
He also praised his wife for her âstrengthâ and her âfortitude.â
