Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Make Rare, Matching Appearance Together: VIDEO

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen speech at CFDA Awards

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen thrilled their fans last night, November 3, by making a joint appearance in matching outfits at the 2025 CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards. The 39-year-old twins, famous for their iconic ’90s and early 2000’s videos such as “To Grandmother’s House We Go” and “New York Minute,” skipped the red carpet, but appeared onstage together and made a speech to accept the American Accessory Designer of the Year award for their luxury brand The Row.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky also attended the ceremony, marking their first red carpet appearance since Rihanna gave birth their third child in September.

The elusive twins, who have kept a super low profile since wrapping up their acting days, were photographed together this summer at their The Row store in the Hamptons. They were also seen side by side posing with Sara Moonves, the editor-in-chief of W Magazine, at New York Fashion Week in September.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Declared Their Love for Fashion In Rare Public Speech

When Mary-Kate and Ashley stepped up to the microphone to accept their award, one of them thanked boutiques and individual buyers, saying, “You have been our guiding light for the last 20 years now.” She also dedicated the award “to our amazing customers, who truly give us the opportunity to do what we love.” She went on, “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And lastly, to our friends and family. Without your support, we would not be here today. So thank you for giving us the love and kindness that allows us to show up to work each day.

The girls smiled at each other before carrying their trophy off stage. One of the twins’ hair was loosely pulled back and tucked under her black coat, while the other wore her golden locks flowing around her shoulders.

Women’s Wear Daily says the Olsen twins beat out Ana Khouri, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch in the category for American Accessory Designer of the Year.

From ‘Full House’ to Fashion: Why Did Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen Quit Acting?

Mary-Kate and Ashley became America’s youngest sweethearts in their joint role as Michelle Tanner on “Full House,” a job they started in 1987 when they were just a year old.

Afterwards, they released their own series of adorable sing-along videos before cornering the teen and tween market in films like “Getting There” and “Holiday In the Sun.”

So why did they quit acting? Ultimately, they pivoted to fashion and seem hyper-focused on their high-end line, The Row. British Vogue says the brand, founded in 2006, allowed the young designers to “break into the upper echelons of the luxury fashion sphere is a feat that few new brands achieve.”
