Tyler Henry just proved heâs not only a medium⦠heâs also a total trooper. According to People, the âHollywood Mediumâ and âLife After Death with Tyler Henryâ star shared on Instagram that he recently underwent brain surgery to remove a colloid cyst. (Yep, a brain tumor. Let that sink in.) But donât panic; heâs fine, heâs home, and heâs already cracking jokes.
All About Tylerâs Health Update
âBrain surgery was a success!â he wrote alongside a photo from his hospital bed, looking surprisingly cheerful for someone who just had his brain poked. âGreat prognosis, incredible staff, and I feel so thankful to be surrounded by my family.â The guy even added a âlook forward to getting back to doing readings,â like he didnât just casually have his head opened. Thatâs commitment.
For those curious, colloid cysts are benign (read: non-cancerous), but they can cause serious problems depending on where theyâre located, per The National Library of Medicine; and Tylerâs was in the center of his brain. Not ideal, but thankfully, the surgery went smoothly, and heâs now on a month-long bedrest before returning to work.
Tyler even took a moment in his post to jokingly add, “thankfully most of it has been removed! (The tumor, not my brain⦠that is. ð¤£),” which is crazy considering what he had just been through. Even crazier? Brain surgery isn’t all that has been going on in Tyler’s life.
Apparently Heâs Doing Everything This Month
Oh, and while all of this was happening? He and longtime boyfriend Clint Godwin tied the knot in a courthouse wedding on May 7. Tyler shared the sweetest post calling life with Clint âan endless sleepover with my best friend.â (BRB, sobbing.)
Clint also posted an update to his Instagram Stories, thanking everyone for their support and calling the doctors âmiracle workers.â Love, health, and gratitude all in one Instagram carousel? Weâre here for it.
If Tylerâs name sounds familiar beyond his Netflix and E! shows, itâs probably because this isnât his first brush with scary medical stuff. He had emergency surgery at 18 for a different brain-related issue (per his Instagram); and now, at 28, heâs handling this one with the same calm, humor, and optimism.
So yeah, Tylerâs resting now, but donât be surprised if heâs back soon reading strangers on the street and casually channeling grandmas. The manâs got talent, a titanium-level spirit, and apparently a knack for surviving brain surgery like itâs just another Tuesday.
