Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are rebuilding their bond as they adjust to life with their newborn daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker.
The actress, 39, and the musician, 35, whose real name is Colson Baker, welcomed their first child together in March 2025. While the pair split weeks before the birth, sources tell People that Fox and Kelly are now on better terms and finding stability as co-parents.
Rebuilding Trust After Baby Sagaâs Arrival
The family recently took a trip to Costa Rica, which insiders say gave them an opportunity to reconnect. âTheir Costa Rica trip wasnât about rekindling a romance so much as it was about rebuilding trust,â a source told People. âFor the first time in a long while, they felt like good friends again. They have a solid understanding now.â
Neither Fox nor Kelly has publicly commented on their relationship status. However, according to the source, the two are prioritizing family over labels. âThe truth is, no oneâs pushing for labels. Megan and Colson are focused on whether this evolving connection can truly last beyond just co-parenting,â the insider said.
A second source described how far the pair have come since their split. âTheyâve come a long way since last year. They were both extremely excited when Megan found out that she was pregnant again. It was devastating for her when she felt the need to break things off.â
That insider added that the Costa Rica getaway was a turning point. âTheyâd been before as a couple, but never with the baby. It was very special and relaxing.â
Parenthood & Moving Forward
Kelly announced his daughterâs arrival on March 27 with a video posted to Instagram. In the black-and-white clip, he was seen holding the newbornâs hand. âSheâs finally here!! our little celestial seed ð¥¹ðâï¸âï¸âï¸,â he wrote, adding her birthdate.
Fox first revealed her pregnancy in November 2024, though the couple broke up weeks later. At the time, a source told People the actress was âblindsidedâ by the split.
The “Jennifer’s Body” star is also mom to three sons â Noah, Bodhi, and Journey â whom she shares with her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green. The former couple ended their marriage in 2020 after 16 years together.
According to NBC, Fox and Kelly originally met on the set of the film “Midnight in the Switchgrass” in 2020. Their relationship quickly became public, and they announced their engagement in January 2022. Over the years, they collaborated musically, appeared together at red carpet events, and frequently spoke about their bond.
Earlier this month, Kelly appeared on “Today with Jenna and Friends,” where he discussed adjusting to life with a baby while promoting his upcoming album “Lost Americana.” He praised Fox for her role as a mother.
âItâs awesome. I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work,â Kelly said. âI keep getting called âThe Music Teacher.â Someone the other day was like, âYouâre such a good dad!â Just because I was holding the baby.
