<p id=”par-1_50″>Meghan Markle and her husband, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-harry/?swcfpc=1″>Prince Harry</a>, made waves back in 2020 when they announced that they would be stepping down from their formal royal roles. The two gave up their titles and moved to the United States in favor of a more fulfilling life away from the royal spotlight.</p>
<p id=”par-2_43″>Now, though, with increasing signs that Harry could be working his way <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-paving-way-reconciliation-prince-harry.html/”>back into the royal family</a>, an insider says Meghan is “not happy” about the idea of her husband getting back in the royal family’s good graces — especially if she doesn’t.</p>

<p id=”par-3_60″>Harry and Meghan met in 2016 and certainly had a whirlwind relationship. The two dated for just over a year before Harry proposed, and they tied the knot only six months later. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were on official royal duties for a little less than two years before they shocked the world by announcing their royal exit.</p>
<p id=”par-4_70″>But this year, there have been some signs that Harry could be getting on better terms with the royals. He flew to the United Kingdom to be with his father after learning of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, and the royals (including Prince William) publicly wished Harry a happy birthday earlier this year. Then, William made mention of his brother in the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-williams-documentary-mention-prince-harry-major-breakthrough-rift.html/”>Prince of Wales’ homelessness documentary</a> that premiered in October.</p>
<p id=”par-5_36″>Meghan, however, reportedly is not “happy” with the idea of Harry and his family reconciling. “Meghan isn’t happy at all,” a source told <a href=”https://closeronline.co.uk/celebrity/news/meghan-markle-blasts-kate-middleton-stop-messaging-prince-harry/”>Closer Magazine</a>. “She’s panicking about Harry being sucked back into his old life.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_42″>The source continued, “For her, it’s far better for Harry to be on the outside, so she can have him firmly and safely in her corner. The thought of him cozying up to his family again has struck a note of panic.”</p>

Harry has been on the outs with his family for a long time, so even if there is a want to repair the relationship, it would likely have to happen slowly.</p>
<p id=”par-8_68″>Harry has said many negative things about his family, and whether they’re true or not, the family never gave their approval for Harry to speak about them — that, on its own, could result in it taking years for Harry to get closer to his family once again. For now, Harry and Meghan are continuing to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/insiders-say-prince-harry-life-california-not-going-way-everyone-claims.html/”>raise their family in California</a>, thousands of miles away from the royals.</p>
