“Surely not,” Driver wrote, expressing her shock at Keaton’s death. “What an absolute heartbreak.”

Driver is far from the only major celebrity or Hollywood star to come out with touching tributes to Keaton since her passing. Fellow actress Goldie Hawn wrote about the deep bond the pair had shared during their friendship and the mark that Keaton left on the world.

“You stole the hearts of the world and shared your genius with millions, making films that made us laugh and cry in ways only you could,” Hawn shared. “I was blessed to make ‘First Wives Club’ with you, our days starting with coffee in the makeup trailer, laughing and joking, right through to the very last day of filming. It was a roller coaster of love.”

Meanwhile, the multi-talented Bette Midler shared a moving message on Instagram after the news broke. “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died. I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me,” Midler wrote.

She continued, “She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star.”

Reese Witherspoon, Keaton’s co-star in the 1991 film “Wildflower,” also posted on social media with a heartfelt message. “Diane Keaton changed the way we all saw women on screen — smart, funny, stylish, and completely original. I’m so grateful to have had her as a mentor.”
