Myleene Klass has worked out how to beat the heat with an unconventional outfit for running errands.
May is a record-breaking scorcher, with London reaching dizzying heights of 35.1°C today after the hottest day was recorded yesterday at 34.8°C.
Instead of melting in her house like the rest of us, the TV personality decided to take a drive in her air-conditioned car – ditching her clothes and donning a bright bikini to do so.
Myleene, 48, posted a string of pictures rocking a striped orange, pink, and white bikini from her brand partner, Freemans, as she drove around.
She completed her look with some white Prada sunglasses, writing: ‘Bank hols. Klassy cabs did overtime.’
Her friends were hyping her up in the comments, with Helen Flanagan writing: ‘My god’.
Scarlett Moffatt commented ‘wow’ with fire and heart emojis, a comment mirrored by an equally enthusiastic Nicole Appleton.
‘Momma you look incredible,’ added Catherine Tyldesley as fellow Smooth Radio host Angie Greaves wrote: ‘Girl’.
This isn’t the first time Myleene’s bikini has stolen the show, with her white matching set becoming iconic after I’m A Celebrity in 2006.
The Hear’Say singer previously joked that simple £40 swimwear has ‘put my kids through school’, frequently recreating the look.
Speaking about the bikini in 2020, she said: ‘I can’t believe that @imacelebrity started again tonight. It feels like I was in the jungle only yesterday! Every time I see this pic pop up, I can’t believe how fate handled it all.
‘I remember one of the shows producers looking at my bikinis in the hotel before I went to camp. One was covered in stripes. ”We’ll have to stop at the shops as that’s probably going to strobe on camera”.
‘I ran into the shop en route to the jungle, asked the shop assistant for the plainest bikini she had. Best $40 I ever spent….especially as it raised so much for charity afterwards.’
She then auctioned off the two-piece, raising over £7,500 for charity.
Myleene has previously shared how she’s faced pressures about her body, which felt even more relevant as her daughter reached a similar age as her bandmates.
‘Some of the experiences that we went through we were in no way equipped for it,’ she said on Loose Women in 2024.
‘We were just five kids in a room at the end of the day – not unlike these five kids in a room and that’s all you have.’
Managers would ‘clear out mini bars and food’, which she believed was ‘trying to control them’ as they thought they were overeating and ‘fat’.
She continued: ‘We had an image of this perfection, this role to fulfil. Somebody drew a circle around my cellulite while I was on holiday…
‘On the front of every magazine there was a huge circle and my cellulite, we wouldn’t allow that today.’
Hear’Say split in 2002, citing ‘abuse from the public’ as a factor after they topped charts with Pure and Simple.
