There are still no signs of Nancy Guthrie as the search officially reaches two months. However, the latest development in the case has led to more questions than answers.

“There were no signs of an assault inside of her home,” a source close to the investigation told News Nation on Tuesday, March 31. “The inside of the house was actually clean.”

According to the outlet, certain rooms in Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home were “immaculate.”

‘No Signs of Assault’ in Nancy Guthrie’s Home

While we learned early on in the investigation that blood drops found on the front porch of Guthrie’s home belonged to the 84-year-old victim, new reports reveal that there were “no signs of assault” inside her home.

News Nation reporter Brian Entin, who has been covering the case on the ground since the beginning, claimed that the new information seems to coincide with what the Guthrie family has previously said.

“[This] makes sense when you go back to what Savannah Guthrie said, that when her sister and brother-in-law showed up, they weren’t sure what happened,” Entin said during a March 31 newscast. “She just basically vanished at one point. They even thought maybe an ambulance had taken her away because, you know, there was now, according to the source, nothing inside the house that appeared totally out of the ordinary.”

With this newest information, questions arise surrounding how and when Nancy suffered the injury that caused her to bleed.

Nancy Guthrie’s Back Doors Were Propped Open

As Savannah Guthrie previously revealed in her interview with “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb, the back doors of her mother’s home were propped open when investigators arrived.

During the Tuesday, March 31 episode of “Drop Dead Serious“, host Ashleigh Banfield claimed, “The perpetrator used Nancy’s flower pots to do this.”

Entin, however, posed serious questions about these details.

“Did the suspects come in through the back and then take Nancy out through the front?” he questioned during the Tuesday broadcast.

Nancy Guthrie Investigation Continues

Guthrie has been missing since February 1, when her family was alerted that she missed her regularly scheduled church service. She was last seen the evening prior at a family dinner hosted by her daughter Annie Guthrie.

Her whereabouts remain unknown, and no suspect has been identified. The FBI’s Phoenix division, along with The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, however, are asking the public for help identifying the masked man who appeared on Guthrie’s front doorbell camera.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall of average build,” the agencies revealed.
