The Show Had Strong Reviews
TV shows often get canceled for two reasons. The first is typically low viewership, and the second concerns overall quality. For “NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” the latter doesn’t seem to be the problem. The show has an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics.
Audiences loved the show more than critics, as they gave it an impressive 84% rating. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show started strong in terms of viewership. Per the report, it had 371 million viewing minutes in its first week, ranking eighth.
Sadly, viewership trailed off as the episodes continued to premiere on Paramount+. This ultimately led executives to decide against moving forward with a second season.
