A horror comedy film labelled by fans as ‘magnificent’ has quietly been added to Netflix.

Released in 2019, Ready or Not stars former Home and Away actress Samara Weaving as Grace, a young bride who is preparing to marry Alex (Mark O’Brien).

However, after meeting his family on the eve of their wedding, things take a sinister turn when she discovers they have a murder-spree ritual because of a deal they made with the devil.

After being told she needs to take part in a ‘game’, she draws a card that means she must hide in their mansion as the others try and track her down before dawn, but it soon emerges their task is to actually kill her.

Unsurprisingly chaos ensues as the family take up arms, utilising guns, axes and crossbows to ensure they succeed in their task.

The cast also featured Henry Czerny and Andie MacDowell as Alex’s parents, and Adam Brody as his alcoholic brother Daniel.

Made on a $6 million budget, the film was a huge success and grossed $57.6 million (£48 million).

This week the movie was made available on Netflix, with viewers being urged to tune in.

‘Loved it and the ending is magnificent,’ Monika posted on Rotten Tomatoes, where the film holds a 89% rating.

One fan said the film had the ‘greatest horror movie ending ever’ (Picture: Eric Zachanowich)

‘It is a great thriller with a good dose of comedy. It doesn’t set out to be taken seriously, it is just a great hour and a half of fun,’ Troy shared.

‘This is my all-time fav movie. Has the best mix of horror, comedy, action & even a bit of romance,’ Joy added.

Another called it ‘part Hunger Games- part The Purge’ while someone else said it had ‘the greatest horror movie ending ever’.

Last month it was announced a sequel was in the works, however no plot details have been released yet.

Ready or Not is streaming on Netflix.
