New GTA 6 cut scene spoilers leaked as Cyberleek says game is ‘not ready at all’

The latest GTA 6 leak is the most spoilery so far, as it gives away the game’s opening cut scene and the first few minutes of the prologue section.

GTA 6 is getting its most substantial official preview tonight, via a special Netflix show, but if you’ve been online for the past week, you’ll know that there’s been a stream of video leaks all week, giving away gameplay details and locations.

Rockstar has now acknowledged the leaks, describing them as ‘heartbreaking’ and apologising for the fact that fans have had to wait so long for a new update, while also assuring them that GTA 6 remains on track for its November 19 release date.

Not that that’s going to stop the leaks, which perpetrator ‘Cyberleek’ claims to be a response to the decision to make GTA 6 digital-only. Although now they’re also alleging that the game isn’t even close to being finished, despite being due to launch in less than three months.

Cyberleek has been releasing new gameplay clips every day since August 19, with often multiple videos a day.

While they’ve so far focused on gameplay featuring the character Jason, the latest leak stars the other protaganist, Lucia. The clip is longer than usual too and seems to have been taken from the game’s prologue, including the opening cut scene.

For legal reasons, we will not be sharing any footage ourselves but if you want to go into GTA 6 as spoiler-free as possible, we suggest avoiding any GTA 6 related stories until at least the Netflix preview.

The cut scene begins with Lucia already in prison (a detail Rockstar had already confirmed) before flashing back to nine months ago, where Lucia is sat in a restaurant while anxiously watching a store across the road.

If we had to guess, she’s prepping herself to rob the place, which is what she’s likely in prison for, but the flashback ends after she’s asked by a waitress to settle her tab.

The rest of the footage is gameplay of Lucia interacting with other inmates and being escorted by a guard to meet with a new prison counsellor. The first GTA 6 trailer depicted a scene of Lucia with a counsellor, although the leaked footage cuts off before it reaches that part.

What really stands out is the updated watermark, which has been on every leak thus far and is there to promote Cyberleek’s cryptocurrency scheme.

While it still does that, it has a new message claiming that the build of the game they’re playing on is very recent and that the game remains unfinished.

‘This build is actually recent and the game is not ready at all,’ it reads, ‘Sony and Rockstar are killing your right to own and resell your games and Rockstar is killing their own employees too. The work required to reach gold is way too much for so little time left.’

Cyberleek seems to be insinuating that either GTA 6 will be delayed again or that Rockstar is enforcing crunch to ensure that the game is ready for its November launch.

Rockstar does have a history with crunch on both Red Dead Redemption games and when the company opted to end its work from home policy in 2024, there were concerns that this would mark a return to ‘toxic crunch practices.’

If GTA 6 really is as unfinished as Cyberleek says it is, then you would think they’d make a point of highlighting bugs or any areas of the game that are unfinished. None of the leaks have featured anything like that though and instead the game looks extremely polished.

There was no mention of the game being unfinished in a recent, official magazine preview, but it doesn’t sound like anyone played the game for themselves and they might have simply watched tonight’s Netflix preview ahead of time.
