Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s nuptials have made global headlines since the A-list pair tied the knot last week.

Despite a guest list of around 1,000 attendees and the world’s media watching on from outside, details from the extravagant event — rumoured to have cost the couple over $20 million — have somehow remained closely guarded, including pictures of the happy couple.

But now NFL star Ryan Fitzpatrick, who attended with his wife, Liza Barber, has provided some behind-the-scenes insight.

The 43-year-old former quarterback spoke to People magazine, where he revealed how ‘excited’ he was to get the invite and how ‘privileged’ he felt to be there.

Politeness aside, Ryan also shared some insider moments, including that he was still recovering from ‘six-plus hours of dancing.’

He also told the outlet that Taylor and Travis did ‘everything top notch.’

But it was the couple’s decision to hire legendary comic Adam Sandler to officiate the wedding that was a standout moment for Ryan.

‘When Adam Sandler walked out, it had everybody floored; that was really cool,’ he said, adding: ‘The ceremony was beautiful.’

Taylor and Travis both know Grown Ups star Sandler from different points in their lives. While the Grammy winner has been the soundtrack to Adam’s kids’ lives for years, Travis also recently appeared in Happy Gilmore 2.

Adam, who reportedly gave some sweet advice to the newlyweds, previously said of the Love Story singer: ‘Taylor in our house, every tune, they knew every word. I loved listening to her in the car.

‘I love what she had to say, every message, every melody, just the production, how cool she was, what she meant to young girls, what she means to women, what she means to guys doing the right thing in life.’

He also described Travis as ‘unbelievably funny and confident,’ and when she first started dating Travis in 2023 he commented on ‘how good they are together.’

‘He’s a gentleman and she’s having so much fun,’ Adam said.

Other celebs who have commented on the wedding include Travis’ brother, Jason, and his wife, Kylie, who called the affair ‘incredible.’

Former footballer Jason, who was also Travis’ Man of Honor, has remained pretty tight-lipped on the whole thing, but did tell fans that they had a ‘good time,’ and that the wedding was ‘great.’

He also joked that he had ‘way more’ than 15 beers, a sentiment shared by BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, who reported a beast of a hangover.

Speaking on his breakfast show after landing back in the UK from New York, Greg admitted that he ‘still can’t quite believe that it happened.’

‘It does feel like an amazingly strange but exciting dream. It was unbelievably fun,’ Greg said. ‘The main headline is: oh my god it was really fun.’

Taylor actually invited Greg to her wedding live on air last year, during her promo tour for her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

While Greg at first thought she was joking, Taylor doubled down on the invite.

The DJ said about receiving the invitation: ‘First thing, when I got the invitation, that in itself was mad because it was ages ago.

‘It was the night before the first day of the Comic Relief Challenge [in March]. I looked at my phone and the invitation had come through and I went “not now, I can’t deal with this now”.’

Greg joked that it was a challenge to keep the news a secret, revealing that the only person he was allowed to tell was his author wife, Bella Mackie.

‘I couldn’t tell my boss so I just had to take annual leave for it. I couldn’t tell the people at the festival why I couldn’t do the rest of the weekend. I was like, “Something’s come up”.’

Graham Norton was another familiar face invited live on air, when Taylor appeared on his chat show in October.

Greg recalled that he then went over to Graham’s house with their partners to have a meeting about the wedding, to which he joked: ‘It was like the Traitors meeting in the tower.’

Later on his show, Greg confirmed that Taylor and Travis ‘were having a great time, they looked amazing, they were on the dancefloor.’

And, in terms of the order of the day, Greg said that it ‘wasn’t a sit-down dinner.’ Rather, the couple opted for a buffet with food from a string of their favourite New York City restaurants.

Greg also revealed there were ‘multiple cakes,’ and there was an ‘invitation to get up onto the stage and dance while the DJ was on,’ which he did.

As for the 1,000-strong guest list, the DJ was in disbelief that Madison Square Garden transformed into a ‘room full of the most famous people in the world.’

Likening the event to going to Madame Tussauds but ‘the wax was animated and you could interact’ with them, he dubbed it ‘absolutely mad.’

Meanwhile, Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos said the wedding was ‘as intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden’.

‘It’s hard to imagine that a place that big with such stars could feel so personal’, he commented.

He also said the ceremony was ‘moving,’ and that Adam Sandler was ‘funny and touching.’

Stephanopoulos said the vows were ‘everything you would hope for — real, vulnerable, serious and silly, deeply loving,’ while his co-anchor Michael Strahan said: ‘If you ever want to feel what real love is, you felt it in that room with those two. It was really, really special.’

And Donna Kelce, the mother of the groom, called her son’s wedding ‘magical.’
