Nicky Campbell’s daughter Lilla was rushed to the hospital after being hit by an e-bike in London.

Campbell announced the news on Instagram on Saturday morning, explaining that Lilla, 26, had been with her sisters in Peckham when the incident occurred.

‘It’s been a long and emotional night,’ he wrote. ‘My daughter Lilla was hit by an e-bike hit and run last night in Peckham – hopefully there is CCTV.’

The BBC radio star claims that the man who hit his daughter ‘scarpered’ once he saw the ambulance arrive.

‘She is badly injured but now at home,’ he continued. ‘It could have been so much worse. We are incredibly lucky.’

Sadly, once Lilla arrived at King’s College Hospital A&E, she and her sisters had to endure another trauma.

According to Campbell’s post, ‘a drunk entered the trauma room where they were and exposed himself to them.’

The police were on hand, however, and arrested the man.

‘The police were magnificent,’ Campbell wrote. ‘I spoke to them when I arrived at 3.15, and he is now in custody.’

He finished the post by thanking the police and the ‘wonderful staff’ at King’s College Hospital, calling them ‘superb’.
