Nicole Kidman has done it again. The blonde beauty wowed fans once more, this time, with yet another hair transformation.
On May 8, the actress joined her husband, Keith Urban, at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas. The couple looked dashing in coordinating looks and even packed on the PDA on the red carpet.
The country singer received a special honor from the Academy of Country Music. Urban became the first artist to receive the ACM Triple Crown since Carrie Underwood in 2010.
Kidman Ditches Short Bob
For the event, Urban donned a sleek black suit with a velvet blazer and vest, exposing parts of his chest tattoos. Kidman, on the other hand, kept it simple with a black leather halter top matched with black trousers. She kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing only a pair of black flats, a slim watch, and silver rings.
But what truly caught everyone’s attention was the actress’ long blonde hair. Kidman looked effortlessly stunning with her sleek, straight locks, which weren’t there just a few days ago.
On May 5, the “Babygirl” star attended the 2025 Met Gala rocking an edgy pixie cut by Adir Abergel. Many were surprised to see the bold hairstyle, with some wondering if it was a wig.
Did Kidman Wear a Wig?
Kidmanâs sudden switch from a pixie cut to long, flowing hair has only fueled more speculation. While the actress hasnât commented on her latest hair transformation, many fans are convinced sheâs sporting a wig.
Hairstylist Andrew Newport told DailyMail that Kidman’s short hairstyle was likely a combination of her real hair and extensions. He explained:
This could be Nicole’s real hair with the length at the back disguised under some artfully placed, clipped or glued in hair pieces. This look, which appears to have been achieved by hair magic, could have been created by taking the hair at the back of the head and braiding tightly to the scalp. Nicole’s real hair is featured at the front fringe, plus the hair extensions at the nape would be dressed over the disguised hair.
The idea of Kidman wearing a wig isn’t far-fetched at all. The actress has a habit of wearing fake hair in her movies, which led to rumors that she’s bald.
Interestingly, Kidman has shown sensitivity when it comes to questions about her hair. Back in 2018, she shut down a reporter at the Toronto International Film Festival who asked whether she was wearing a wig.
