Since the Switch 2 is seeing a price hike next week, the returning Mario Kart World bundle is following suit, although it does come with a new addition.
When the Nintendo Switch 2 launched last year, there was an option to buy it alongside a digital copy of Mario Kart World for £429.99, which was a great offer since you were effectively saving £40 on the game itself.
Nintendo said the bundle would only be available through the autumn of 2025 and though it seemed to last well past Christmas and maybe even into the new year (it’s unclear when exactly it disappeared), it is currently out of stock on Nintendo’s website and at other retailers.
The good news is that Nintendo has opted to bring the bundle back in September. The bad news is that it arrives after the Switch 2’s price increase on September 1, which means the bundle is more expensive than it was a year ago.
Nintendo hasn’t shared UK prices for the bundle, but it will cost $549.99 in the US, which is $50 more than its original pricing. This reflects not only the Switch 2’s new price tag of $499.99 (£429.99 here in the UK), but also the addition of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
The original bundle only came with the console and the game, whereas this new version includes a three-month subscription, which normally costs $7.99. In the UK, such a subscription costs £6.99.

Altogether, this is a saving of roughly $38, which comes to about £28 here in the UK.
If you were to buy a Switch 2 (£429.99), a digital copy of Mario Kart World (£66.99), and a three-month subscription (£6.99) separately, that would cost £503.97. So, we’d estimate that the bundle’s UK price will come to around £475.
Nintendo is also planning to offer a Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle ahead of the sports game’s release on October 22. Aside from a digital copy of the game, it too will include a three-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
It will be $20 cheaper than the Mario Kart bundle, at $529.99, since Nintendo Switch Sports Resort has a lower price tag. Here in the UK, the game costs £41.99 digitally so the bundle stands to be maybe £15 cheaper, at around £463.
As a reminder, Nintendo does currently offer customisable bundles on its online store, where you can pick one game from a curated selection of first party titles alongside a Switch Online subscription and a free accessory.
However, neither the console, the games, or the subscription are discounted, so you do need to pay full price for the bundle.
