Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are officially parents. The couple announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Colette Annalise McCaffrey, on Sunday, July 13, via a joint Instagram post showing their newbornâs hand. âColette Annalise McCaffrey ð¤,â they captioned the photo.
In a follow-up post on her Instagram Stories, Culpo shared a heartfelt moment: âColette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world,â she wrote, showing McCaffrey watching over their baby girl. âA love like no other.â
Olivia Culpo Underwent a C-Section: âScariest & Most Rewarding Experienceâ
In more Instagram stories, Culpo, 33, revealed that she delivered via C-section and described it as: âThe scariest and most rewarding of all experiences.â According to people, she credited her husbandâs calming presence in the operating room. âAs soon as [Christian] came into the room, I felt most at peace,â she wrote, adding that she held tightly onto his arm.
A Journey to Parenthood: Pregnancy & Marriage
Culpo first announced her pregnancy on Instagram in March 2024, captioning a black-and-white maternity shoot: âNext chapter, motherhood ð¤.â
In another post, she and McCaffrey strolled through a field while holding hands and showing off her baby bump. McCaffrey also held sonogram photos in a sweet moment captured on video. The couple met through a blind date in June 2019 but kept their relationship private until Valentineâs Day 2020.
NFL player McCaffrey proposed in April 2023, and they married in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, in June 2024.
Culpo Spoke Candidly About Fertility Fears
On an episode of The Culpo Sisters in December 2022, Olivia discussed freezing her eggs: âIâve been making decisions out of fear for the future⦠Thereâs a lot of pressure that Iâve been putting on my relationship because of fertility.â
She added: âI am going to freeze my eggs so that I can have babies when the time is right for Christian and me. Itâs an insurance policy. Itâs exciting.â
In a lighthearted TikTok from October 2023, Culpo joked that she wanted to: âRip outâ her IUD and âstart trying immediatelyâ after their wedding.
The Culpo Sisters Knew All Along
Though Olivia tried to keep her pregnancy under wraps, sister Sophia Culpo playfully called her out. âNow you all know why her nickname is Oblivia ⦠she ainât stealth,â Sophia joked, sharing a throwback of Olivia trying to cover her bump with her dog.
She later teased that Oliviaâs dress at a February wedding âpoorlyâ hid the baby bump, quoting her sisterâs attempt at cover: âIâm just bloated.â
Despite the teasing, Oliviaâs sisters had no doubt sheâd be a natural mother. âI know sheâs going to be a really loving mother,â Aurora Culpo told People in October 2024. âSheâs probably already picking out her childrenâs preschool.â
The couple is now settling into life as new parents, filled with love and gratitude.
