After his split from long-time partner Katy Perry, Bloom has been active on Instagram, where he shares his thoughts and feelings in the form of quotes.


Orlando Bloom Reflects on His State Of Mind In Instagram Post

On Wednesday, July 2, Orlando Bloom, 48, re-shared a carousel of quotes from Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung via the Instagram account @sapienkind. The post included meditations on “loneliness” and the idea that even a happy life is not without “a measure of darkness.”

One of the slides read: “Loneliness does not come from having no people around, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important.”

Another quote added: “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness.”

Fans, who were worried for Bloom, flooded his post with comments. A comment read: “We can/may be our own best company.” Another fan wrote: “Very good quotes. I appreciate that someone as renowned as you takes the time and space to publish these important things, which we so often forget.”

One comment on his post read: “We in our therapy era 👏”


Orlando Bloom Makes Solo Appearance in Venice Following Split

Bloom’s introspective post came just days after the news of their breakup was confirmed on June 26. The news, first broken by TMZ, confirmed that all the rumors of his strained relationship with Katy Perry, 40, were true.

That same day, Bloom was seen attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding solo in Italy. The actor created a lot of buzz after he was photographed in Venice mingling with the Kardashian-Jenner family, including Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as their mother, Kris Jenner.


A Look Back at Orlando and Katy’s Love Story

The pair first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016, and just months later, made their relationship Instagram official during a trip to the Cannes Film Festival.

They dated for a year before parting ways in 2017, but later rekindled their romance and got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019. People reported that Bloom even asked for Perry’s parents’ blessing before proposing.

In 2020, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. While they had planned a wedding in Japan that summer, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In August 2020, they welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom. A year later, Perry reflected on motherhood, telling People, “It’s just the best in the world. It’s the game-changer. My heart is so full, finally.”

According to a source who spoke to People, “They are there for Daisy and have been. She’s their angel, and they want to protect her from anything adverse.”
