<p id=”par-2_58″><em>Outlander: Blood of My Blood </em>premieres August 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Starz in the U.S. and at 9 p.m. ET/PT in Canada. New episodes air weekly on Fridays and will also be available to stream the same day on the Starz app and all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms. There will be 10 episodes in total. </p>

<p id=”par-3_22″><em>Blood of My Blood </em>is a standalone prequel series focusing on the parents of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/outlander-10-times-jamie-claire-proved-they-are-absolute-couplegoals.html/”><em>Outlander</em>’s Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan)</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-4_64″>Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp find love in England during World War I, while Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser fall for each other in the rugged Highlands of early 18th-century Scotland. The two couples “must fight against all odds to defy the forces that seek to tear them apart as their love stories unfold across time,” according to Starz’s description of the new show. </p>
<p id=”par-5_61″>Julia and Henry’s story is set in 1917, when she is working in the censorship office in London. Her job involves restricting sensitive information from soldiers’ letters home. Henry is serving in the trenches in World War I. Frustrated with the state of the conflict, he writes a letter to the Times. Julie intercepts Henry’s letters, and they begin a correspondence. </p>
<p id=”par-6_75″>Jamie’s mother, Ellen, is the eldest child of “Red Jacob,” the laird of Clan MacKenzie and sister to Colum, Dougal, Janet, and Jocasta. Her two brothers are at odds over who will be the next laird of Clan MacKenzie after their father dies. Jamie’s father, Brian, is the bastard son of Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat. Brian’s best friend and cousin, Murtagh, is the nephew of Mrs. Fitzgibbons, who works at Castle Leoch as Ellen’s maid. </p>
