In an emotional new documentary, Ozzy Osbourne fans will be given an ‘intimate look’ at the final years of the late music legend’s life.
The Black Sabbath icon died aged 76 on July 22, just weeks after his final ever show in his hometown, Birmingham, prompting tributes to flood in from across the cultural world praising his heavy metal legacy.
The new Paraumout+ feature-length documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now, has been directed by Bafta nominee Tania Alexander (Gogglebox) with exclusive interviews from Ozzy and the whole Osbourne clan, including wife Sharon, daughters Kelly and Aimee and son, Jack.
And it is already set to be a tearjerker with the documentary promising an ‘intimate look at the six-year journey to Ozzy’s final act’.
The trailer opens with the Paranoid hitmaker saying: ‘The thing about getting old is, I used to take pills for fun. Now I take them to stay alive’ as we rewind the clock to February 2019 when Ozzy underwent spinal surgery after a fall in his home.
Viewers will ‘witness his fight to reclaim the magic one last time’ as the trailblazer opens up about ‘the subsequent life-changing impact of that accident, which ultimately led to him cancelling his two-and-a-half-year farewell tour’.

Elsewhere, offering heartfelt reflections on the idea of his life ending, he powerfully proclaims: ‘If my life is coming to an end, I really can’t complain. I’ve had a great life.’
Meanwhile, at another, Sharon shares that he ‘had a brilliant career and it ended in a brilliant way’.
‘He was in hospital for weeks. To fall like that and not be able to bounce back like he had in the past, and then having to cancel the tour – that was his biggest heartbreak,’ says Aimee in the film.
Fans are also treated to the inside story of his two albums 2020’s acclaimed Ordinary Man and 2022’s double Grammy-winning Patient Number 9. All of this culminates in his final Birmingham show on July 5, 2025.

Although the documentary was not intended to be a posthumous film, it stands as a ‘testament to Ozzy’s courage, wit, determination, and talent – qualities that ensure he remains a hero to millions around the world.’
Other big-name contributors include Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, members from Guns N’ Roses and Metallica, as well as Billy Idol.
Fans are already moved by what they have seen.
‘I admit I got emotional watching this preview. I remember my first concert watching him and Randy Rhoads on stage and it blew me away. So sad he has left us, but his music will live on forever and his legacy is unmatched,’ Kumba9 wrote on YouTube.

‘We’re gonna cry, aren’t we?’ EntertainmentFan11 added.
‘Even the trailer has me in bits,’ orangesunshine1969 said.
‘My word. Getting emotional just from watching the trailer,’ TheLanceCook wrote over on X.
‘I’m tearing up watching the trailer …I’m going to be a blubbering mess watching the whole thing,’ Aaron D echoed.
Some are thrilled to see Aimee, who decided not to be involved in their early 00s reality show The Osbournes, with one user azza0911, sharing: ‘The nice surprise is Aimee being in this too and being candid.’
Ozzy: No Escape Now premieres on Paramount+ on October 7.
