Peter Andre will appear in the new season of his daughter, Princess Andre’s, hit reality show after all, he has revealed.

The Princess Diaries has already released a successful first and second season, in which we caught a glimpse into the life of Katie Price and Peter’s daughter as she turns 19 and navigates early adulthood.

So far, the show has featured her brother Junior as well as various family members, including Peter. Katie notably didn’t appear in the first season after claims she was barred from the show by her ex-husband.

Princess was quick to set the record straight on social media, confirming she didn’t have a rift with either parent and the timings just worked out for her dad to appear in the show.

Ahead of the renewed second season, however, it was originally reported that dad Peter wouldn’t be making a new cameo.

Now, the star, 53, who is currently playing  Nikos in Mamma Mia! The Party at The O2 has confirmed he will, in fact, feature in season three when it comes out later this year.

He said: ‘For me, reality shows were fun back in the day, but now I like seeing the younger ones doing it.

‘I’m more happy giving advice. I’m really proud of her. They’re good kids.’

Explaining how he might show up, he told The Sun: ‘I pop in a little bit, It’s her show but I pop in.

‘They came to see the show [Mamma Mia! The Party] and filmed it, so they’ll be some of that footage.’

The Mysterious Girl singer is also gearing up for their own TV project with wife, Emily MacDonagh. His U-turn on appearing on the show comes after insider reports that there wasn’t enough to showcase her life with plenty of support.

‘I’ve got some big announcements, me and Emily have a massive announcement soon, but that’s very soon. I’m so excited,’ he teased.

The whole of the Price-Andre family is enjoying their time in the sun, with mum Katie also recently releasing her own tell-all reality series featuring all her close friends and family, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide.

Produced by Louis Theroux’s production company, it spanned from birth to the present day, looking at all the ways Katie was made into the woman she is today, from her time as page three model Jordan through to her various marriages and her darkest days.

Junior and Princess feature on the series, and have an emotional moment where the pair both break down in tears when discussing her drug use.

Although we didn’t hear much from Peter on the new series, in his chat with The Sun, he shed insight into his new parenting style now that his children are adults.

He explained: ‘I am quite strict but I’m chilled now. They are quite grown up. They are really grounded and polite. My strictness has kind of calmed down.

‘But I still have some strict rules, they can’t have boyfriends and girlfriends in the bedroom and the reason I’m like that, even though they’re adults, I don’t want the younger kids seeing that.’

The Princess Diaries season one and two are available to stream on ITVX now.
