Trevor Larcom weight loss

Fame gave him a front-row seat to his own coming of age, but it also meant seeing every flaw played back in high definition. For Trevor Larcom, now 21, growing up on screen came with an emotional weight far heavier than the cameras.

Larcom rose to fame playing Trent, the lovable best friend of Eddie Huang, on the ABC sitcom “Fresh Off the Boat.” He also appeared in “True Detective,” “Fuller House,” and “Thunder Force,” among other shows.

But behind the scenes, the child actor was struggling with his body image, something that became increasingly difficult to ignore as he watched himself grow up on camera. Now, at 21, Larcom is documenting every part of his fitness journey and inspiring his fans.

“Yeah, Being on TV Is Cool, But I Hate Looking in the Mirror”

At just 18 years old, Larcom hit 300 pounds and knew something had to change. “Yeah, being on TV is cool, but I hate looking in the mirror,” he admitted in a candid video that documented his “full glowup journey.”

He began by cutting calories and paying attention to his food choices, even though, as he put it, he was too “lazy” for the gym.

That alone led to a dramatic transformation—first losing 50 pounds, then 130 in total.

From Insecurity to the Gym: “This Loose Skin”

Despite the impressive weight loss, Larcom said he still struggled with what he saw in the mirror. “I have a big problem though. I lost all that weight but I have this loose skin,” he shared, posting a mirror selfie that showed his flexed biceps and progress.

Determined to feel genuinely comfortable in his body, Larcom chose to undergo surgery to remove the excess skin.

A photo of him in surgery scrubs was paired with the caption: “This is gonna hurt, but it has to be done.”

“Worst Pain Ever”—But Worth It

The surgery wasn’t easy. “Worst pain I’ve ever felt,” Travor said of the procedure. Still, it didn’t take long before he was back at the gym, continuing his transformation.

“Maybe all of that time in the gym, looksmaxxing, recovery, dieting finally is paying off,” he wrote alongside a confident new photo.

Fans Applaud Larcom’s Honest & Inspiring Transformation

Fans flooded Larcom’s social media with support and admiration. “amazing transformation” one wrote.

Another added: “W journey Brodie I had the same journey your really inspiring your platform”

A third wrote, “Trevor thanks for motivating me I found you around 3 weeks ago and ever since I’ve been more motivated to go to the gym even though I was always pretty fit I wasn’t motivated to gain muscle or be consistent but watching you motivated me to keep working hard and consistently”

Trevor Larcom’s story isn’t just about weight loss. It’s a powerful reminder of showing up for yourself, no matter how long the road may be.
