
The late Joel Schumacher’s “Phone Booth” is one of the most memorable movies of the early 2000s.
Per IMDb, in the brilliant psychological thriller, “Publicist Stuart Shepard finds himself trapped in a phone booth, pinned down by an extortionist’s sniper rifle. Unable to leave or receive outside help, Stuart’s negotiation with the caller leads to a jaw-dropping climax.”
It stars Colin Farrell as Shepard, with Kiefer Sutherland playing opposite him as the malevolent hidden sniper. The likes of Forest Whitaker, Radha Mitchell, and Katie Holmes provide able support.
The film boasts an impressive 72% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was also fairly successful financially, grossing just shy of $98 million worldwide, having cost just $13 million to produce (per Box Office Mojo).
