Former “Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson recently celebrated her birthday, turning 36 years old. While she was sure to mark the special day, she also took to Instagram after the big event to share photos of herself looking stunning in a bikini.
In the first pic, the actress can be seen lounging on a recliner in the sunshine. Wearing a bright green two-piece swimsuit, she also has on a pair of black sunglasses. The second pic is a close-up shot of the actress, while the third shows her legs as well as her view. The fourth photo is a selfie in a mirror that again shows the star’s bikini top but this time, she’s wearing shorts as well.
In the caption of the post, she simply left two emojis: “âï¸â︔

When Ashley shared a photo of herself in a bikini on Instagram, her fans flooded the comments with birthday messages â as well as messages complimenting the star.
“You always slay,” one fan wrote.
Another person added, “Happy birthday to you ð”
“Living her best life,” came from a third follower.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “I hope you had the best day!!!”
Ashley Has Talked About Being ‘Natural’ & Accepting Yourself
Benson may be confident enough to post bikini photos thanks to the fact that she accepts (and loves) herself the way she is.
“On [‘Pretty Little Liars’,] I was always all dolled up but I am not that girl. I try to be but I like to be as comfortable as possible and I feel my best when Iâm more downplayed,” she told Elle.
“We wore pounds of makeup on the show, like it was actually horrendous how much makeup we wore,” she added. “You could scratch off the makeup and get it in your nails. By season seven, I went back to being super natural, which is when I felt the most comfortable and that was my favorite look.”
The star also talked to Vogue about self-love and body positivity, saying, âBeing in the limelight, Iâve learned to accept my [perceived] flaws and be vocal about loving the way I look.â
âI want young girls to know that when they see us [celebrities] in magazines and photo spreads that itâs a lot of hair, makeup, and Photoshop,â she added.
Benson also explained, âYouâll never be happy if youâre always striving to look a certain way. Itâs about accepting yourself and setting your own path.â
