<p id=”par-2_56″>As the trip draws near, many are wondering if Meghan and Harry could be moving towards repairing relations with the royal family, with attention turning to how the duchess may approach the visit. Here’s what someone who used to work with the prince hopes Meghan does and doesn’t do when she’s back in England. </p>

Harrold’s duties included that of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince William, Catherine, and Prince Harry when they stayed at Highgrove House. Since leaving the royal household, Harrold has become one of the U.K.’s leading etiquette experts. In 2025, he published his first book, <em>The Royal Butler</em>, which became an Amazon bestseller. He regularly appears on TV offering royal commentary on both current and historic news stories.</p>

<p id=”par-4_72″>Speaking on behalf of <a href=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>ActionNetwork</a>, Harrold told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “[Meghan] definitely shouldn’t be using it for celebrity events. It is very likely that she will get invited to things. Being realistic, I think there is a chance we will see her go to a few things and promote herself and her brand. It really wouldn’t be a great idea, and if there are talks of a possible reunion, it could affect things.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_54″>Harrold continued, “On paper, it isn’t actually wrong at all. They aren’t working members of the royal family anymore and are free to do as they please, but I think it would be a bad look. I think if you were to read the room that would be an unadvisable move on this occasion.</p>
<p id=”par-6_74″>“If I were her, I would try to be as low profile as possible. I do think she and Harry are becoming more conscious of that and seem keen to make amends, so maybe she will use this trip to build bridges rather than promote brand Meghan. I would love it if she went down this route, but again, there is always a chance we will see her pop up at a few events.”</p>
