<p id=”par-1_40″>Prince William and the Princess of Wales (<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/dont-be-fooled-this-is-what-kate-middleton-was-really-like-in-school.html/”>formerly known as Kate Middleton</a>) have <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/photos-of-prince-george-princess-charlotte-and-prince-louis-misbehaving-throwing-tantrums-and-making-us-laugh.html/?swcfpc=1″>three children together</a>. Their oldest, Prince George, was born in 2013, followed by his sister, Princess Charlotte, in 2015, and their youngest, Prince Louis, in 2018. </p>
<p id=”par-2_76″>As the eldest child, George’s future is already mapped out for him since he will be the king following Prince William’s reign. The paths for Charlotte and Louis though are less clear. Now, someone who used to work for the family and knows <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/royal-commentator-says-husbands-should-not-prince-william-kate-middleton-public-avoid-tension.html/”>William and his wife</a> very well, is weighing in and believes that Charlotte and Louis may not have traditional royal roles because the way the family does things will change over time. </p>
<p id=”par-3_41″>Grant Harrold was <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/former-royal-butler-reveals-amazed-king-charles-infamous-pen-incident.html/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>King Charles’ butler</a> for seven years. During his time working for the now-monarch Harrold’s duties included those of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate whenever they stayed at Highgrove House.</p>
<p id=”par-4_72″>Speaking on behalf of the online learning platform <a href=”https://www.studydog.co.uk/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Study Dog</a>, Harrold told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “There will be a high demand on the children, because their workload will be increased. But the royal family may not be carrying out quite the same responsibilities by the time they are old enough. There may be brand endorsements or more support for organizations, with them being seen as celebrities or even taking on that influencer role. </p>

<p id=”par-5_60″>“It might not be the same as old-fashioned visits with cutting ribbons and visiting important figures. I’m sure that will still be part of it, but I think it will evolve a lot, and I think their roles will be quite full on for them because it will be a different era of the royal family and a bit unpredictable.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_30″>Harrold added that he believes George will attend college and may continue the tradition of going into the military. However, Charlotte or Louis could pursue careers outside of the Firm.</p>
<p id=”par-7_86″>“I think [George] will go to university. William enjoyed university, and the children seem to enjoy the school and their education,” the former royal butler explained. “The real question is whether he will join the armed forces. It is possible that he could take on the position of being head of the Armed Forces and have little or no experience within their armed forces, and learn about it on the job. But it would be very strange if he stopped the tradition in the military. </p>
<p id=”par-8_54″>“Historically, royals were all about fighting battles and if suddenly that stops, that would be quite significant because that’s a big part of what the royal family is about. We’ve always had royals involved in the military or some sort, even if it’s for a short period of time. So it should still continue.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_93″>“I think [Charlotte and Louis] could pursue a career outside of being a full-time working royal,” Harrold opined. “I think that’s something that their father and mother will support. I think the days of the royals having to be royals and do what other royals do will be gone. I think if Charlotte turns around to her dad and says, ‘Do you know what, I really want to become an architect.’ I think he would be welcoming of that. I think they’re gonna have a lot more freedom and a lot more choice.”</p>
