Rapper and frequent Travis Barker collaborator Poorstacy has died at the age of 26.
The star, full name Carlito Junior Milfort, is said to have been staying at a hotel in Boca Raton, Florida, when police were called on Saturday.
Poorstacy was then said to have been taken to a nearby hospital.
The Boca Raton Police Department reportedly confirmed that the rapper died after an ‘incident’, in details shared with Billboard. His cause of death has not been confirmed.
Poorstacy hailed from nearby Palm Beach. The county’s medical examiner subsequently confirmed the musician’s death to Page Six.
The rapper-singer had worked closely with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker on several emo-rap tracks.
Of their three songs together, their 2020 track, Choose Life, off his album The Breakfast Club saw the most success.
Barker has yet to comment publicly on the news of Poorstacy’s death.
Over his career, Poorstacy released two studio albums, two EPs, and was featured on the Grammy Award-nominated Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack.
Metro contacted Boca Raton Police Department for comment.
