A son has taken to social media to slightly call out his mum’s television preferences after the Good Morning Britain logo was burned into her TV.
Reddit user MikeyGaming64 shared a photo of his mother’s screen on the social site, which showed her television looking a little worse for wear.
Instead of presenters Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard or Kate Garraway being seen, the screen was instead a shade of concerning lime green, with the logo for the show seen in the bottom left-hand corner.
The post was captioned: ‘When your mum watches Good Morning Britain so much it gets permanently burned into your TV.’
Picking up over 7,000 likes, the post currently has over 200 comments, with plenty of others piping up about the strange occurrence.
Responding to comments the poster joked that he asked LG about a replacement, which he said they could help with, however the company would not ‘replace the mother’.

He also explained that his mum had been watching the show for ‘three hours per day, five days a week for three years’ at maximum brightness, which he joked was a ‘bad recipe’.
Despite its fan base, last month GMB was singled out as the television programme which had been the subject of the most Ofcom complaints over the past two years.
The numbers were crunched, and the ITV breakfast program named as the show with the unenviable title.

Between 2020 and 2022, GMB picked up 75,623 complaints from the public who flagged their issues with the media watchdog, according to new data from TECC.
It was in 2021 that Piers Morgan’s comments about Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle topped Ofcom’s list of most-complained about programmes of that year, with 54,595 complaints.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
