There’s no doubt that both Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner have tackled some challenging tasks over the years related to their various roles. That’s why the two stars have taken to Instagram to share some of the “crazy things” they’ve done for their careers.
In the caption of Witherspoon’s post, she wrote, “Canât believe how many adventures this job has taken me on! So grateful ⨔
Along with a carousel of photos from her career, Witherspoon added text explaining the range of things she’s learned for her jobs.
“Took law school classes for ‘Legally Blonde,’” she wrote. “Learned to play the autoharp for ‘Walk the Line.’ Took vocal lessons to be a singing Mama Pig in ‘Sing.’ Hiked miles and miles on the PCT for ‘Wild.’ Learn to ride an elephant for ‘Water for Elephants.’ Dressed up as a deer with SofÃa Vergara for ‘Hot Pursuit.’ Spent hours doing wire training for the space scenes on ‘The Morning Show.’”
She then added, “Forever grateful for these stories and the chance to bring them to life.”
Jennifer Garner Once Played a Dolphin
After Witherspoon listed some “crazy things” she’s done for his job, Jennifer Garner decided to do the same. In the caption of her Instagram post, she wrote, “I am grateful that my job asks me to learn bits of so many things. Grateful for patient teachers. And am grateful for everyone here who plays along. (ððð @reesewitherspoon)”
“Among the ‘crazy’ tasks she’s taken on for her acting work, Garner listed ‘learning to fight’ (alongside a clip of her 2002 brawl with Quentin Tarantino in Alias) and learning ‘all the weapons, but mostly sais’ (alongside snaps of her holding blades in 2003’s Daredevil, 2005’s Elektra and 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine),” People points out. “Garner’s other ‘crazy’ tasks have included learning ‘all the spy languages,’ taking ‘equestrian lessons,’ learning to ‘turn wood,’ carving some butter and hanging from wires.”
Her final “crazy thing” included a look at a 1998 episode of Fantasy Island, which sees her playing a dolphin… kind of.

While both stars have certainly done some “crazy things” for their careers over the years, their fans definitely appreciate the effort.
In response to Witherspoon’s post, one person took to the comments to write, “Crazy? Or inspiring?! ð¥ð¥”
“What like itâs hard?!ððð,” another person wrote, quoting Witherspoon’s “Legally Blonde” character.
Even Mindy Kaling left a message, saying, “The woman prepares[.]”
In the comments of Garner’s post, fans also left messages, with one saying, “Did not expect the dolphin ! Love it â¤ï¸”
