The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills might be about to get real messy.

On Monday, gossip Instagram account <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DX66jFMjqRM/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Deuxmoi</a> shared a rumor that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/deep-jaw-release-therapy-leann-rimes-wept-relief-session.html/”>LeAnn Rimes</a> could be joining the cast of the Bravo show.

The singer’s “name has started circulating in casting conversations for the next season of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/lisa-rinna-wants-5-million-10-million-return-rhobh.html/”>The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills</a>,” claimed the post.

Adding Rimes to the RHOBH cast would be guaranteed to stir up some major drama. The Grammy winner was the other woman in former cast member Brandi Glanville’s marriage to Eddie Cibrian.

To recap: LeAnn and Eddie met in 2008 on the set of the movie Northern Lights. They soon began an affair, which was exposed in March 2009. LeAnn quickly split from her then-husband, Dean Sheremet. Eddie filed for divorce from Brandi in August 2009. (The two had married in 2001 and shared two children.)

LeAnn and Eddie tied the knot in April 2011. But things were tense between LeAnn and Brandi for years, with the pair engaging in a public feud, which played out on social media and in episodes of RHOBH. (Brandi had joined the reality show as a friend of the cast in season 2 before being promoted to full-time Housewive in season 3.)

“They cheated. They got together. They’re assholes after that,” Brandi declared in one episode before going on to refer to her ex’s new wife as a “c*nt-try music star.”

LeAnn and Brandi finally settled their beef in 2018, with the goal of having a peaceful co-parenting relationship. Brandi left RHOBH after season 5, though she’s occasionally appeared as a guest. More recently, she’s appeared on The Traitors, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and Celebrity Big Brother while also dealing with various health issues that she believes are caused by a facial parasite.

While Brandi is no longer part of The Real Housewives, adding LeAnn (and presumably Eddie) to the cast would give a platform to a woman who’s previously been cast as a major villain on the show. While some fans welcomed the prospect of some juicy drama, the idea of making LeAnn a Housewife didn’t sit right with many fans.

“If that happens yall better bring back Brandi,” one person commented on DeuxMoi’s post.

“Unnecessary and Very Tacky!” someone wrote on The Bravoholic’s <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/reel/DX7BcMDRyM7/”>Instagram</a> post about the rumor.

“I would not like to see her. To me it would just be a really mean move by Bravo. And LeAnn does not seem very interesting at all,” someone else chimed in.

So far, Brandi has not commented on the casting speculation. But back in 2014, she actually welcomed the idea of LeAnn joining RHOBH. Brandi was a guest on <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/607795/brandi-glanville-asks-andy-cohen-about-joanna-krupa-s-allegedly-smelly-vagina-and-leann-rimes-housewife-future” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Watch What Happens Live</a> when host Andy Cohen said he would “love” to see both women on RHOBH.

“If she wants to be on the show, then we should do it,” he said.

Brandi said she wouldn’t mind facing off with her rival.

“Listen, I’m game for it, but then you would have to talk to Mr. Cibrian…who’s hated the show and sends letters to you and Bravo…that said, ‘No kids, no this, no that,’” Brandi replied. “So it would very interesting all of a sudden to have her say, ‘OK.’ Listen, I’m game. Bring it.”

“Bring it!” she added. “I am not scared.”
