The reality star recently made headlines for refusing to pay the bill at a restaurant. Fans who watched Morgan for multiple seasons on <em>The</em> <em>Real Housewives of New York</em> aren’t surprised by her reported behavior, but many have expressed their disgust.</p>

She started off on rocky footing with restaurant staff when she arrived with a party of five instead of the three listed on her reservation. Things took a turn for the worse when her server presented her with the nearly $1,000 bill.</p>
<p id=”par-3_30″>“She was like, ‘I don’t pay; people pay me [to go to their restaurants],’” a source told <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2025/05/12/society/sonja-morgan-blacklisted-from-tucci-after-ditching-bill-she-thought-was-comped/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Page Six</a>. “She was absolutely entitled and caused a scene about not paying.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_19″>Morgan has reportedly received comped meals from the restaurant in the past and assumed her dinner would be free.</p>
<p id=”par-5_24″>“She was absolutely hysterical and refused to pay,” a source said. “It was like she was filming a <em>Housewives</em> episode, shouting, ‘I’m a celebrity!’”</p>
<p id=”par-6_31″>She called restaurant owner Max Tucci to demand a free dinner, explaining that she is a single mother. Tucci informed her that she would still have to pay for the meal.</p>
<p id=”par-7_47″>“It’s not about me. Don’t do that to my staff,” he said. “The cost of everything is so expensive right now [for restaurants], and she’s just taking advantage. … There was no arrangement for her to have a comped dinner. She just wanted free food and service.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_40″>Morgan called the situation a “clear miscommunication” and said she believed she would receive a free meal in exchange for a promotional post. She reportedly paid the bill and tip on Monday. Still, Tucci has blacklisted her from the restaurant.</p>

<p id=”par-9_16″>Fans of the show are utterly unimpressed with Morgan’s behavior, though they don’t find it surprising.</p>
<p id=”par-10_35″>“Booking a table for a small party and bringing a big one, while also assuming it would be free, all before going to a 30th birthday party is definitely our Sonjarita,” wrote one <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.reddit.com/r/BravoRealHousewives/comments/1klbf7f/hysterical_sonja_morgan_blacklisted_from_nyc/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Reddit</a> user.</p>
<p id=”par-11_36″>Others found it disappointing that Morgan reportedly tried to get a free meal by describing herself <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/why-is-sonja-morgan-from-rhony-fiercely-protective-of-the-morgan-name.html/”>as a single mother</a>. Morgan had a 24-year-old daughter with former husband John Adams Morgan, the great-grandson of J.P. Morgan.</p>
<p id=”par-12_46″>“This is a terrible look and beyond entitled,” another person commented. “What a gross thing to do, and then to play the ‘single mother’ card as if her child isn’t an adult heiress. How many single mothers have a $1000 dinner on a Saturday night? Yikes.”</p>
<p id=”par-13_18″>Others found it embarrassing that no one at the table moved to pay the bill throughout Morgan’s outburst.</p>
