<p id=”par-1_52″>Rob Gronkowski and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/tom-brady-gaunt-appearance-plastic-surgery-rumors-expert-weighs-in-retired-nfl-player-face.html/”>Tom Brady</a> have been friends for years and have done a lot together. They both played on the New England Patriots during the team’s dynasty years. Then, when Brady left the Pats for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he took his favorite tight end with him to the Sunshine State.</p>
<p id=”par-2_19″> The two went on to win another <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/super-bowl/?swcfpc=1″>Super Bowl</a> together before transitioning into TV as <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/?swcfpc=1″>sports</a> commentators. </p>
<p id=”par-3_32″>But Gronkowski recently said he’d be hesitant to eat at Brady’s house for Thanksgiving because of what could be on the menu. Here’s more on that, plus Brady’s favorite Thanksgiving Day memories.</p>

<p id=”par-4_28″>Before the game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions aired on Thanksgiving Day, Brady and Gronk had a little fun during the FOX Sports pregame show.</p>
<p id=”par-5_17″>Gronkowski joked that Brady may be offering avocado ice cream as a dessert option for Thanksgiving. </p>
<p id=”par-6_42″>“Hey Tom, I know you have 20 staff members working at your house, but it’s Thanksgiving, so you only have 10 working,” Gronk said before asking, “Are they serving pumpkin pie tonight for dessert, or is it avocado ice cream for Thanksgiving?”</p>
<p id=”par-7_18″>Brady shot back, “You know what I’m getting? I’m getting matcha vegan almost-cheesecake, and you will eat it.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_30″>The former tight end started laughing before conceding he would eat whatever is placed in front of him, saying, “I will eat anything you serve. It’s free at your house.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_47″>Some fans believe Brady is vegan or vegetarian, but that’s not the case. He actually follows a “flexitarian” diet that is about 80% plant-based and 20% animal-based, as he eats lean meats and fish in moderation. And he has said that he’s a fan of the turducken.</p>

<p id=”par-11_128″>“I had tried a turkey leg at one point because I did play on Thanksgiving Day and I did win player of the game,” Brady recalled. “There was a great clip of myself and Vince Wilfork. We played the Jets on a Thursday night. When they gave me the turkey leg, I looked at it and I could feel it was kind of a cold turkey leg. I was like, ‘Do I really want to just bite into this?’ So, I gave the most chinchy little bite. Of course, Vince went all in like it was a chicken wing. He was like stuffing that thing in his mouth. He was devouring it. I was a little apprehensive about what I was biting into. It’s actually a funny clip.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_99″>Brady then talked about the excitement of getting to play a game on that day, sharing, “I just remember as a kid watching all these games on Thanksgiving and then seeing the players of the game gnawing into those big turkey legs. It was great because the linemen, they loved it. They couldn’t wait to get home to try their Thanksgiving turkey. But to have it on the football field and celebrate it with your teammates as an award from John Madden for playing a great game and winning on Thanksgiving Day was the highlight for an NFL player.”</p>
