For all their differences — home chefs, personal fitness trainers, space trips — celebrities are still people. And just like us, they aren’t thrilled when their name is forgotten or mixed up with someone else.
While Rob Lowe was walking down the street in Los Angeles, a Hollywood tour bus drove past him. When he heard the driver begin explaining to the passengers who they were seeing, he was visibly taken aback as he heard the words, “This is John Stamos.” What followed was a humorous interaction with a very chill tour driver, Lowe, and passengers who couldn’t believe their good luck.
Rob Lowe Talked to the Tour Group After Being Misidentified
Wearing a black T-shirt, jeans, and sunglasses hanging from his shirt, Lowe looked like he was about to approach the tour bus, but abruptly stopped after hearing the name he called him. Turning to the camera, he mouthed, “What the [expletive]?”
“Well, he looks like him,” the driver said defensively, seemingly realizing he was wrong. As the passengers laughed, Lowe asked them, “Okay, guys, am I John Stamos? No! Who am I?” As a chorus of passengers yelled “Rob Lowe!” he turned to the driver and said, “You’ve got to get better at your job!”
The laid-back driver told him, “It’s all about having fun, you know? I don’t expect to run into people, so.” Lowe told the crowd, “Don’t listen to him.” As he walked away, laughing, the driver said to him, “Thank you for your cool energy, man! Thank you for being cool!”
He Jokingly Asked His Son if He Was ‘Being Punk’d’
In his caption for the Instagram video, Lowe asked his son, Johnny Lowe, “Am I being Punk’d?” He responded with a casual, “The people have spoken.”
