Robbie Williams left Julia Roberts floored after making a surprising admission about what he did after watching one of her iconic movies six times in a row.

The pop star, 51, and Hollywood actress, 57, were guests on the latest episode of The Graham Norton show overnight.

After performing his new single Pretty Face – from his upcoming album Britpop – Robbie joined Julia and the other guests Colin Farrell, Benedict Cumberbatch and Gloria Estefan on the red couch.

However, when the host asked if he knew any of the others, he didn’t miss his chance to make a cheeky quip.

‘Robbie Williams, who do you know on the couch?’ Graham questioned.

‘I mean I know everybody from watching them on the telly,’ he joked, with the other celebrities and studio audience bursting out laughing as the host said, ‘ok that’s good’.

He then went on: ‘And Julia Roberts. Oh my god, I can’t. I’ve watched Pretty Woman six times in a row. And at the end of the six times, I was like “one day I will take a prostitute shopping”. And I did. I did. So, thank you.’

While Julia had initially declared ‘what’ when Robbie revealed how many times he’d watched her 1990 romantic comedy – his anecdote about treating a sex worker to some new outfits clearly caught her off guard, with her mouth dropping and the actress speechless.

Trying to continue on with the show, Graham then joked: ‘That’s a lovely story Robbie. That’s really lovely.’

The exchange left many viewers in stitches as they tuned in.

‘You can always trust Robbie to liven up Graham Norton,’ user Lucy posted on X.

‘How can you not love him?’ Jonno declared.

‘Rob, never change,’ another begged.

The Pretty Woman scene he was referring to was when Julia’s character Vivian returns to a pricey Rodeo Drive boutique whose employees originally refused to help her because she was dressed like a prostitute.

After initially being looked down upon by the women working there, she then turns up again in an expensive-looking outfit and gets her revenge, telling them they made a ‘big mistake’ and won’t get any commission as she gets ready to shop up a storm.

During his appearance on Graham Norton, Robbie also announced he was playing Glastonbury 2026.

‘I’d like to announce on the TV tonight I’m playing Glastonbury next year,’ with the other guests and audience clapping and cheering.

However, the host quickly pointed out the festival was having a break next year, to which the performer explained how he would make his return to the iconic festival for the first time in nearly 30 years anyway.

‘Glastonbury’s not on next year…’ he said, with Robbie smiling and declaring: ‘No, but I’m still going to play it.’

‘Like it or not. They haven’t asked me since 1998, so I’m going to turn up in a truck, put the side down and then do half an hour.’

‘I’m not going to tell anyone I’m there…but I will do it!’

The Graham Norton Show airs Fridays at 10.40pm on BBC One.
